Rośliny źródłem związków o aktywności hepatotoksycznej i przeciwwirusowej

Plants as a source of compounds with hepatoprotective and antiviral activity. The article presents the medicinal herbs used in a treatment of different diseases of the liver including hepatitis B, C and fibrosis, namely Scutellaria baicalensis, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Phyllantus amarus and Picrorrhiza kurroa. It was stated, that hepatoprotectivum and hepatocurativum properties of these plants are due to flavones (S. baicalensis), iridoids (P. kurroa), lignans (P. amarus) and triterpenes (G. glabra). On the other hand, the results of research on antihepatotoxic activity of some plant extracts orginating from Archangelica angelica, Psoralea coryfolia, Rhodiola sachalinensis, and plants earlier known only as cholagogum, cholereticum remedia - Helichrysum arenarium, Cynara scolymus, Erythrea centaurium are also described.
