Wpływ wybranych substancji wielkocząsteczkowych na aktywność amfoterycyny B w kroplach do oczu
2006-05-01

Influence of selected macromolecular substances on antimicrobial activity of amphotericin B in eye drops. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of macromolecular substances on antimicrobial activity of amphotericin B in eye drops. All formulations studied consisted of 1,4% of PAV, 0,25% of HEC, 0,25% of HPMC and 0,25% of Carbopol 934P. The boric acid was used as the isotonic solution. The microbiological analyses showed that the macromolecular components influenced activity of amphotericin B in the eye drops. It was found that among four substances studied the best was PAV which only slightly decreased antimicrobial activity of amphotericin B.
