The Association of Former Owners of Pharmacies and Pharmaceutical Factories and their Successors pharmacists is a Polish social organization established in 1990. The aim of this article is to provide information regarding the work of the Association between 1990 and 2008. The main emphasis is placed on the efforts of the Association to ensure restitution of, or compensation for, property taken by the Polish state mainly under the Law of January 8, 1951 (published in the Journal of Laws: Dziennik Ustaw 1951, No. 1, Item 1) concerning the nationalization of pharmacies.
